Lifecycle Email Campaigns
At PFF, I was responsible for three email newsletters in-season, and two newsletters in the offseason.
The three in-season newsletters were: Insider Scoop, Fantasy Insider, and The Syllabus.
The two offseason newsletters were: Insider Scoop and On The Clock.
In addition to these newsletters, I drafted and distributed emails promoting new product and managed flow effectiveness.
Insider Scoop
Insider Scoop was our year-long newsletter that occurred every Monday. In-season this served as a recap of what happened over the weekend and a preview of the Monday Night Football game(s).
Out of season, Insider Scoop shifted to whatever was relevant at the time. Once the Super Bowl concludes, it is very draft-heavy, with a two-week break to tackle what happened in Free Agency.
After the draft, we get into the dead months of May and June, where we focus on things like class redrafts, alternate timelines, and more whimsical ideas.
On The Clock
The first On The Clock of 2026 premiered the week of the Senior Bowl and Shrine Bowl. On The Clock was our draft-themed newsletter, that emphasized introducing prospects to anyone who was interested.
This newsletter heavily featured Mock Drafts, but also had a “Stock Watch” section that highlighted players who saw their draft stocks rise or fall and why they did.
Fantasy Insider
Our premier fantasy football newsletter. We utilized PFF’s data and analysts to bring the biggest sleepers and best matchups to our viewers.
This newsletter was consistently the best performing one, with an average open rate above 60% and an average click rate of over 2%.
Product Promotions
PFF released a multitude of upgrades and new features to our platform. I was responsible for drafting and distributing the emails updating our subscribers about these new features.
The player prop tool, multiplayer mock draft simulator, and customizable big board are just a few examples of this.
