About Me

My name is Ian Anderson.

I am from Issaquah, Washington and currently live in the greater Seattle area.

Sports play a major role in my life, whether that is watching, playing, or studying them.

My favorite sports are football, basketball, soccer, baseball, and golf. I also have a passion for all things fantasy football related.

Outside of sports, I enjoy video games, TV shows, movies, reading, and bar trivia.

2023-2025

Seattle University

Master of Business Administration

Sport and Entertainment Management

I am currently enrolled at Seattle University, where I am expecting to graduate in June with my MBA in Sport and Entertainment Management.

From sports statistics to corporate partnerships, I have been able to explore and grow my knowledge of every facet in the sports industry.

My teammates and I were chosen to represent Seattle University in the 2025 SportsPro Hackathon. Our efforts led us to winning Challenge 1 in the competition. In April, we are going to be flying to London to attend the SportsPro Live conference and present our work.

2021 - 2023

University of Washington

Bachelor of Arts - Communication

At the University of Washington, I graduated with a BA in Communication and a 3.65 GPA.

During the spring quarter prior to my graduation, I became a member of the COM CORE team. This internship was responsible for managing the department’s presence across social media as well as event planning.

I was selected to go on the Communication Department’s Career Exploration Trip to Los Angeles. There, we met with University of Washington Alumni to learn more about their careers. We made stops at SoFi Stadium and the Universal Studios Boardwalk while there.

2021 - 2021

Bellevue College

During COVID lockdown I made the decision to transfer to Bellevue College as a stopgap in between destinations. Here I worked towards my transfer degree with the hopes of ending up at my final destination when COVID protocols relaxed.

2019 - 2020

Washington State University

I entered Washington State with the intent of majoring in Sport Management and minoring in Communication.

After my first year at the school I decided to transfer, a decision that was accelerated by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

2019 - 2020

Issaquah High School

All four years that I attended Issaquah High School I played football.

In addition to that, I played basketball my freshman year and participated in DECA for two years.

I was also the manager of the varsity soccer team during my senior year.

I committed to Washington State University early into my senior year of high school.
